Moving Matter (an attempt to meet in the astral plane)
for B.

For 6 days, Sandrine was installed in Montserrat College of Art's 301 Gallery for the Holy Ghost//Personal Piety and Alternative Belief Systems exhibition. For those 6 days, she attempted to astral project while laying in a wheelbarrow filled with sand collected from a local beach. A constellation was drilled into the bottom of the wheelbarrow in the shape of the largest constellation that was presently visible from both Beverly and Reykjavik (the location of a dear friend). Her micro-movements caused the sand to trickle through the holes, spilling sand onto the floor in the shape of the constellation.
