The ephemeral artwork of Sandrine Schaefer explores cycles of the visible becoming invisible to discover ways to inspire forward movement. The fundamentals of Sandrine’s practice include the desire for constant evolution explored through concepts of endurance, duration, accumulation, site sensitivity, actions of transport and units of measure. She is involved in an active collaboration with artist, Philip Fryer whom with she founded The Present Tense, a Boston-based performance art initiative. Through The Present Tense, Sandrine had curated over 10 international art happenings. Sandrine is a co-founder of MEME Gallery, a space for active manifestations. Most currently, Sandrine is exploring universal and paranormal language as a way to unlock the secrets of the universe. She is hoping for a metaphysical awakening.
