Pace Investigations > Pace Investigations No. 3

The Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts is one of the only buildings in the United States designed by architect, Le Corbusier. Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Modulor, a scale of proportions based on the height of a human body with an arm raised, Pace Investigations No. 3 is a performance that undertakes the task of measuring spaces throughout and surrounding the Carpenter Center using my own body. I continuously repeat this performance 9 times over 6 hours.

Cycle 1= 3 hours
Cycle 2= 1 hour 30 minutes
Cycle 3 = 45 minutes
Cycle 4 = 23 minutes
Cycle 5 = 11 minutes
Cycle 6 = 6 minutes
Cycle 7 = 3 minutes
Cycle 8 = 1 minute 30 seconds
Cycle 9 = 45 seconds

performed on April 9, 2016 as part of [image here] exhibition and interdisciplinary conference presented by Harvard Film and Visual Studies, The Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Cambridge, MA
