In Flesh Entropy, the artist’s face is gradually obscured through face taping techniques used in contemporary wellness culture, alongside digital masking. Through this process, the face becomes a surface/interface continually reshaped by cultural pressures to deny mortality. The work situates disappearance as a post-Anthropocene condition in which the human body is no longer visually centered as oceanic space fills the screen. Disappearance unfolds across ecological and cultural dimensions as the figure dissolves into the surrounding landscape, unsettling boundaries between body and environment amid ecological crisis and contested bodily autonomy.
